D200 Point-to-Point Connections Fail
Issue
Point-to-Point (PPTP) connections fail when made through the D200 router.
Environment
- Datto Networking
- Datto D200 router
Cause
GRE packets using Internet protocol 47 are enabled on the network. The Datto D200 router does not support GRE at this time.
Resolution
If PPTP is not required
Disable GRE on the server behind the D200 router, then make a site-to-site connection using:
- OpenVPN on port 1194
- IKEv1/IKEv2 on Port 400/500
If PPTP is required
The Datto D200 does not support GRE at this time and will not work for this connection.
