"The Datto Windows Agent installer cannot run while Windows Updates are pending"

Issue

When you try to install the Datto Windows Agent on a protected system, the agent installer returns the error message, "The Datto Windows Agent installer cannot run while Windows Updates are pending. Please update and reboot this system, and run the installer again."

Cause

One or more Windows updates, which require a reboot to complete their installation, are pending on the target machine.

Resolution

The agent software installer cannot run while Windows updates are pending on the host system. Reboot the target hardware, and run the Datto Windows Agent installer again.

Note for future Windows updates :After a Windows update, the next OS volume backup will be a differential merge.
