How do I replace the OS drive on an ALTO 4?
NOTE Before removing the OS drive, contact Datto Technical Support. A Datto technician will need to run back end procedures to monitor and complete the process. Do not remove the OS drive if there is a disaster recovery scenario in progress.
Environment
- Datto ALTO 4
Description
- Power off and unplug the device.
- Remove the cover screw on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover forward to remove it.
- Press in the blue release tabs from both sides to open the hard drive assembly.
- Slide the drive towards the tabs to remove the drive from the assembly.
- Slide in the new drive until it clicks in place.
- Close the hard drive assembly.
- Slide the case cover back in place and replace the screw.
- Plug in and power on the device.
